The app and website-plugin now use text-to-speech technology to read amenity and trail descriptions aloud
Our ability to read is a capability we take for granted, until we can't.
When we think about visual impairment, blindness immediately comes to mind and, of course, impacts every aspect of daily life and recently technological developments have much improved access to and engagement with digital content.
For others, reading is an obstacle and this new feature aims to improve their accessibility to text descriptions: by offering an option to read the text out loud.
And for yours truly, it solves the problem of when the glasses were left at home.
